Wiggins hits game-winner for Shiloh

SNELLVILLE - Megan Wiggins was 2-for-4 including a game-winning, two-run home run in the eighth inning as Shiloh defeated Dunwoody 3-1 Thursday.

Danielle Tippins earned the win for the Generals (1-1) pitching a compete-game and striking out 10 batters. She also helped herself at the plate with a double in three at-bats.

Mill Creek 3, Collins Hill 0

SUWANEE - Katy Hackett pitched a complete game, striking out 11 batters and helping Mill Creek edge Collins Hill 1-0 Thursday.

Chelsea Lee finished with three hits for the Hawks (3-0) and Erica Moore added two hits and two stolen bases.

Hackett helped her own cause with a hit in three at-bats for Mill Creek.

Cedar Shoals 19,

Meadowcreek 3

NORCROSS - Meadowcreek lost 19-3 to Cedar Shoals on Thursday.

Brittanie McCain took the loss for the Mustangs (0-2). Kasey Murray was 3-for-3 with an RBI and Aaryn Sells added a hit for Meadowcreek.

North 10, Forsyth Central 0

SUWANEE - Brittany Broome pitched a complete game, yielding only one hit while striking out five batters as North Gwinnett defeated Forsyth Central 10-0 in a non-region game Thursday.

Katie McDannald had two hits and two RBIs, Kristen Gutierrez was 2-for-3 with a run scored and Katie Fullem added a double, two RBIs and scored a run for the Bulldogs (1-1).

Central 15, Salem 0

LAWRENCEVILLE - Heather McAfee was 2-for-3 with five RBIs as Central Gwinnett downed Salem 15-0 Thursday in the South Gwinnett Diamond Classic.

Caitlin Moyer had two hits and Stephanie Peet added a hit, two RBIs and a stolen base. Ginny Emory earned her first victory of the season for the Black Knights (1-1).

Wesleyan 12, Johnson 0

NORCROSS - Missy Genthert and Paige Hamlin combined for a no-hitter Thursday as Wesleyan won its first game at the new Agate Field 12-0.

Whitney Warren was 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored for the Wolves (1-0). Genthart added two hits in four at-bats for Wesleyan.

Mill Creek opens with two wins, Brookwood splits

HOSCHTON - Mill Creek opened its season with two wins on Thursday.

The Hawks defeated Dunwoody 25-0 (forfeit for being late) and 25-16. Mill Creek (2-0) also downed Brookwood 25-15 and 25-19.

Emily Clayton led the Hawks on the night with 12 digs, Olivia Day added nine kills and Ashley Vaughan finished with six aces for Mill Creek.

The Broncos earned a victory vs. Dunwoody 25-16 and 25-9. Kalin DeMarrais had 14 kills and five aces and Abby Kroll finished with 18 assists for Brookwood.

Parkview takes two, Norcross splits

LILBURN - The Parkview Panthers earned two victories Thursday, downing Norcross 25-22 and 25-23 and defeating Shiloh 25-11 and 25-12.

Caroline Dean lead the Panthers with 26 assists and four aces, Marissa Hicks added 16 digs and 10 kills, Maggie Dean had 12 digs and eight kills and Melissa Housworth added three aces and three assists.

The Blue Devils were led by Hannah Nelson with 11 digs and six kills, August Rhea added eight digs and three kills, Tiffany Clarke had five kills and Katie Dahl finished with five assists.

Norcross topped Shiloh 25-13, 20-25, 25-14.

Dahl finished with eight assists and four aces, Nelson added six kills, five digs and two blocks, Clarke had five kills and Ainsley Hatten ended the night with 10 digs and eight kills.

Buford defeats St. Francis, loses to Johnson

GAINESVILLE - Buford split matches Thursday in Gainesville.

The Wolves defeated St. Francis 25-17 and 25-15 and were defeated by Johnson-Gainesville 25-21 and 25-14.

Totals for the Wolves included Angela Morgan with 15 digs, Hallye Jerkins with eight kills and three aces, Angela Roper with five assists, Sara Elks with three kills and Sarah Dempsey with two kills.

GAC wins two

NORCROSS - Greater Atlanta Christian won two matches Thursday defeating Pace Academy 25-23, 24-26, 25-16 and Peachtree Ridge 25-6- 25-13.

Alex Shelton finished with 21 assists, Caroline Vick had 18 assists, Jennifer Godleski had 17 digs, Ashley Agin added 15 kills and 10 aces and D'nay Daniels ended with 15 kills and three blocks for the Spartans.

Peachtree Ridge tops Pace Academy

NORCROSS - Katie Kjerrumgaard had six kills and 10 digs to lead Peachtree Ridge to a 21-25, 25-23, 25-20 win over Pace Academy on

Thursday.

Lindsay Ajala had six kills and five blocks for the Lions (1-3), while Nicole Louchart had nine assists and Joy Choi had six aces.
