Edsel Ford Wade, age 68 of Chamblee, GA died August 16, 2006. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gretchen Guenther Wade and is survived by his daughter, Julie Wade James of Hendersonville, NC; son, Troy Lee Wade of Lilburn; sisters, Kathleen Wade Tuck of Loganville, Jean Wade Norton of Brookhaven; brother, Dean Wade of Jefferson; grandson, Christopher Keith James of Canton, GA. Mr. Wade a native of Gwinnett County, was a US Army Veteran. He was retired from General Motors after 30 years of service, as a millwright. He was a loving father, brother, and friend to many. G. Ed Caldwell, age 83, of Lawrenceville, passed away on August 15, 2006 at Embracing Hospice. He was preceded in death by his parents, Garrett and Ora Caldwell of Cartersville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Owen and Martha Jo Caldwell of Sandy Springs and Don and Helen Caldwell of Marietta. After graduating from Cartersville High, he joined the US Navy in 1942. He saw action in the European invasions during World War II. Following discharge from military service, he attended Georgia Tech before beginning a long career in auto sales management with Taber Pontiac and McNamara Pontiac. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Fay; daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Wayne Bryant and Laurie and Mike Allison; grandchildren, Amy and Paul Cowan, Kate Bryant, Mandy Allison and Michael Allison. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2006, at 3 PM at Snellville United Methodist Church. The family will receive family and friends in the gathering room prior to the service from 1:30 to 3:00. M. Collier Westmoreland, 64, of Norcross, Georgia passed away on Thursday, August 17, 2006 at VistaCare Hospice after a brief illness. Mr. Westmoreland was a native of Stephens County. He was preceded in death by his father, W. Marvin Westmoreland of Toccoa, Georgia. Survivors include his wife, Brenda Westmoreland of Norcross, daughters Kelley and husband Jason Aurelia, and Erin and husband John Uesseler; three grandchildren, Emma , Morgan and Sam, all of Atlanta; mother, Maida Westmoreland of Toccoa, Georgia; sister, Judy Whitworth of Toccoa, Georgia; brothers, Al Westmoreland of Calhoun Georgia, and Tim Westmoreland of Toccoa, Georgia; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Westmoreland was a member of Norcross First United Methodist Church in Norcross, Georgia for 40 years where he served on the Administrative Board, was very active in the Youth Ministry, and participated in local as well as national and international church missions. He also enjoyed many outdoor activities. Mr. Westmoreland was a retired educator and coach of various sports at Norcross and Meadowcreek High Schools in the Gwinnett County School System for 38 years. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 18 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday, August 19 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Norcross First United Methodist Church, Norcross, Georgia. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, August 19 at 2:00 p.m. at Norcross First United Methodist Church with Dr. Jim. Lowry, Rev. Terri Hoye, and Rev. Len Walker officiating. Interment will be at Peachtree Memorial Park.
