Rev. W. L. "Dub" Pruett, age 79 of Auburn died Monday, August 14, 2006. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM, Thursday, August 17, 2006 in the Lawrenceville Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home. Rev. A member of New Hope Baptist Church in Lawrenceville, a member of the Lawrenceville Masonic Lodge #131 F & AM, where he would have received his 50 year pin in October, Rev. Pruett was retired from the City of Lawrenceville, working as overseer of the Sewer & Water Department and he also worked at Latex Construction Company. Rev. Pruett was preceded in death by his son, Joe Pruett in April, 2006 and is survived by his wife of 59 years: June Pruett, Auburn; Children: Bill & Gretchen Pruett, Shady Dale, Kenneth & Mary Pruett, Auburn; Grandchildren: Jeff, Tonia, Tracy, Kendra, Shad, Vance, Carla, Thomas, Alan; Great Grandchildren: Hunter, Jessie, Jacob, Jeffery, Tommy, Chase, Kaylea, Brent, Kennedy, Van, Sam, Brandon & Amber. Lindsay Nicole Hammon, age 22 of Snellville, GA, went to be with her Lord, August 14, 2006. She is survived by her fiance, Ryan Lee Shola of Gainesville; mother, Linda Lester Hammon of Snellville; father, Paul Layton Hammon of Austell; brother and sister-in-law, Paul K. and Angelia Hammon of Acworth; grandparents, A. Young and Leta Lester of Snellville, Paul and Connie Hammon of Soperton; nephew and niece, Hayden and Lauren Hammon; several aunts, uncles, cousins and very special aunt, Julie Lester Vance and cousins, Cassidy Vance and Patrick Beall. Lindsay was a member of Snellville United Methodist Church and was a 2002 graduate of South Gwinnett High School. She received her BS degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Georgia, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. She was to start her teaching career this year, teaching kindergarten at Level Creek Elementary School in Suwanee. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 17 at 3pm at Snellville United Methodist Church with Rev. David Walters officiating. Interment at Eternal Hills Memory Gardens.
