Louie D. Shell, age 90 of Sugar Hill, GA, died Friday, August 11, 2006 after an extended illness. Funeral Service will be held Sunday, August 13, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. at Level Creek United Methodist Church. Rev. Hulon Hill will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The Family will receive friends on Saturday, August 12, 2006 from 2:00 to 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Mr. Shell was preceded in death by his wife, Pearl Westbrooks Shell and God Son, Alfred Shope. Surviving are: Daughter and Son In-law, Sheila and Bill White, Sugar Hill; Grandchildren, Tommy and Kathy Clark, Commerce, P.J. Martin and Fiance, Amanda Maddox, Buford, Tara and Brian Ammons, Flowery Branch; Great Grandchildren, Christian and Caleb Clark, Commerce; Sisters In-law, Carrie Lou McDaniel and Betty Martin, Buford. Mr. Shell was a native of Sand Mountain, AL and had lived in the Sugar Hill area the past 40 years. He was a builder and a former employee with Magbee Lumber Co. He was a member of Level Creek United Methodist Church where he had been very active in the UM Men's Club, Sunday School teacher, Chairman of Official Board and Song Leader.
