Sheriff's deputies arrest man on warrant

•LAWRENCEVILLE - Gwinnett County Sheriff's deputies on Wednesday tracked a wanted felon to a house in Snellville and arrested him.

Deputies on the Special Warrant Service Unit tracked Taurean Mills, 23, to a home on Quails Hollow Trail to serve him with arrest warrants for aggravated assault and kidnapping. The deputies forced entry to the home and located Mills hiding under a bed, said Stacey Kelley, spokeswoman for the Gwinnett County Sheriff's Department.

Mills is being held without bond at the Gwinnett County Detention Center. More charges could be pending against him by the Gwinnett County Police Department, Kelley said.

Food fight leads to woman's arrest

•LAWRENCEVILLE - A Lawrenceville woman was arrested on Monday after she allegedly threw iced tea on her husband and rubbed macaroni in his face.

The couple, who reportedly reside together at a house on Cove Crossing Drive despite being separated, told police they got into a fight about whether the husband should talk to his girlfriend in front of the children.

Rhonda Elaine Hart, 41, admitted she threw the tea on her husband and then rubbed the macaroni in his face, according to a police report. The husband claimed she also followed him in the bathroom when he went to wash off, closed the door behind them and hit him in the head with a telephone.

Hart denied that part of the story, the police report stated. An officer took note of the macaroni on the floor, the husband's wet shirt from the tea and a cut on the husband's forehead and arrested Hart on a charge of battery.

Norcross man charged with hit and run

•NORCROSS - A Norcross man was arrested on hit and run charges Monday after he allegedly drove away from the scene of an automobile accident at Beaver Ruin Road and Interstate 85.

Wesley Dwayne Holmes, 23, reportedly exited I-85 North at a high rate of speed, crossed the center concrete median on Beaver Ruin Road and struck another vehicle. He then continued driving on the wrong side of the road heading eastbound and struck a second vehicle, according to an arrest warrant.

Holmes failed to stop after both wrecks because his driver's license was suspended and he was uninsured, the arrest warrant stated. Holmes was charged with two counts of hit and run, reckless driving, driving without insurance and driving on a suspended license.

Teens accused of attempting to steal laptops from Meadowcreek High

•NORCROSS - Two 17-year-olds are accused of conspiring to steal laptop computers from Gwinnett County Public Schools.

Dakarai Johnson and Sirquone Harris, both of Norcross, allegedly conjured a scheme to steal the equipment from Meadowcreek High School at 4455 Steve Reynolds Boulevard, according to arrest warrants. They allegedly carried backpacks into the building on March 12 with the intent to load them with laptop computers from the school's computer lab.

Harris and Johnson are charged with conspiracy to commit burglary. Harris is also charged with criminal attempt to commit burglary and burglary.
