Honors and achievements

Gwinnett Technical College's chapter of Association of Information Technology Professionals recently received two awards at the national AITP competition in Dallas.

Gwinnett Tech's Association of Information Technology chapter President Amanda Lenczewski, Hope Hackett, Matt Maher and Dawn Olivares received honorable mention in the national Web site competition.

Pierre Sanchez, vice president for the collegiate Information Technology chapter, also received honorable mention for a Web banner he designed and built in one month.

Sanchez and fellow chapter member Andrew Wills came in third place at the regional Association of Information Technology competition in Birmingham, Ala., for banner design and systems analysis and design.

Real estate professional Grace Fair was recently presented with the Phoenix Award during the Northeast Atlanta Metro Association of Realtors (NAMAR) Million Dollar Club Awards Luncheon. The event was held March 16.

On the move

Richport Properties recently added Robert Buchanan and Carly Butts to its construction team. Buchanan will be responsible for overseeing the construction of new homes at Orchard Park in Covington. The Lawrenceville resident has been in the home building industry for 20 years, 15 of them in Atlanta. Butts, who has worked for Richport Properties since June 2004 in other roles, will supervise construction of new homes at Avington in South Forsyth.
