Poblano's to open later this month

n Where: The intersection of Scenic Highway and Webb Gin House Road

•What: Poblano's Mexican Grill, which has had its signs up for a few months already, is just waiting for its certificate of occupancy before opening later this month, General Contractor Tony Albanese said.

The restaurant, which seats between 150 and 200 people, is already decorated and cash registers are hooked up and working. Albanese said the long construction time stemmed from changes that had to be made to the original structure when his business took over.

Rainy weather and additional building requirements for being situated between a state highway and a county road helped prolong the process, he said.

Albanese said now it's just a matter of a few final inspections before the restaurant is ready for business. He said it will be worth the wait.

"The food's going to be good, from what I hear," he said.
