Police identify woman shot in head

WINDER - A woman who was shot in the head at a restaurant where a man was killed last week was an innocent bystander, police said.

Almanida Murilla, who is in stable condition, was a patron at El Manantial Restaurant on April 7 when a stray bullet struck her in the head, Winder police Lt. Lamar Reynolds said. Servando Duron Nieto was killed in the shooting.

Neither Nieto or Murilla's age or city of residence are known.

Police are still investigating the shooting, Reynolds said, and believe the shooter and Nieto knew each other.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic man in his late teens or early 20s who left the scene in a dark, four-door import - possibly a Honda. Winder police ask anyone with information to call 770-867-2156.
