Mary J. Leach, age 55 of Lawrenceville, GA lost her extended battle with cancer on Tuesday, April 11, 2006. Mary slipped quietly into a more peaceful place leaving all the suffering and pain behind. She fought a courageous battle always smiling, never complaining and trying to make the most of every day. Mary was employed by the Georgia Development Authority in Tucker, GA and was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Lawrenceville, GA. Mary is survived by her husband of 33 years, Harry G. Leach of Lawrenceville, their children, Tiffany Leach of Clarkesville; daughter and son-in-law, Kelly and Philip Cate of Buford; Terry Long of Columbia, SC and Patricia McBee of Douglasville; brothers Harold and Howard Long of Suches, GA and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 14 at 10am at Wages Snellville Chapel with Pastor Phil Robertson officiating. Interment will be at 3pm at Sugar Hill Cemetery, Suches, GA. He is survived by: Wife : Betty Romig; Daughter & Son-in-Law: Debbie & Jeffrey Davey, Snellville; Son & Daughter-in-Law: Dean & Wanda Romig, Snellville; Grandchildren: Heather Doherty, New Jersey, Nicole Sisk, Mississippi, Allison Griffin, Florida, Michael Romig, Jeffrey Romig, both of Texas; 4 Great Grandchildren; 3 Step Grandchildren; 3 Step Great Grandchildren. Mr. Romig was a 32nd degree mason active for 32 years in the Yaarab Shrine Temple and a member of Warren Mason Lodge #13 F. & A.M. He retired from Air Products & Chemical in Trexlertown, PA after 28 years of service. Memorial services will be held Friday, April 21, 2006 at 1:00 P.M. at Snellville United Methodist Church with Rev. Owen Skinner officiating.
