LAWRENCEVILLE - Investigators are still probing the cause of a house fire in Buford that caused the deaths of a 52-year-old woman and her adult nephew.
"This is still very much an undetermined house fire," said Thomas Rutledge, spokesman for the Gwinnett County Fire Department. "There is no evidence that any foul play is suspected." The bodies of Loretta Jean Moore and her 20-year-old nephew, Nicklaus Tanis, were found early Monday after firefighters entered a one-story house on Chatham Road that had been destroyed by a predawn fire. A memorial service for Moore and Tanis will be held at a later date, according to Flanigan Funeral Home in Buford.More like this story
