Christopher Derek McRee, age 44 of Snellville, Georgia, left us suddenly on Friday, April 7, 2006 to be with the Lord. His loving wife, Sonya Weatherby McRee and his three beautiful children, Richard Marvin McRee III, Mary Grace McRee and William Alton Ted McRee, survive him. He is also survived by his parents, Richard Marvin McRee, Sr. and Elizabeth Ann McRee of Lilburn, and scores of other relatives, friends and loved ones. Married to Sonya for 19 years, they were so much in love with each other and with their children. A happier home and a more loving family could not be found if one searched the world over. Chris was also adored by many others whose life he touched. He found humor in most everything and was well known for his deep, hearty laugh that "filled the room" with happiness. Those of us who were blessed enough to know Chris, never missed a chance to be with him. He coached both of his sons in football for the past eight years. His older son, Rick, played football for Brookwood High School, and Chris served on the Board of the Brookwood Football Association. He was the kind of man who would give the shirt off his back for anyone who needed it. A finer man would be hard to find. Chris is predeceased by his brother, Richard Marvin McRee, II, and their reunion in heaven will be joyous. Chris will be missed so very much by his family, friends and loved ones. Our hearts are sad today, but will be full when we meet again. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 11, 2006, at 3:30 pm at Grace Fellowship Church. The family will receive friends Monday from 5-9 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the McRee Children's College Fund. Tom M.
