DULUTH - Officials pronounced a Duluth man dead on the scene early Saturday after he lost control of his car, entered the median and hit
the guardrail. Preliminary findings from the Gwinnett County police accident investigation unit indicate heavy rain contributed to the death of William Ralph Poole, 50, of College Park. Poole was traveling alone heading north on Interstate 85 between Ga. Highway 316 and Boggs Road on Saturday at 6:39 a.m. in a 1985 Nissan Passenger car and was wearing his seat belt when the accident occurred. The investigation is ongoing, said Corp. Darren Moloney, spokesman for the Gwinnett County Police Department.More like this story
