Man shot in road rage incident
NORCROSS - A Lawrenceville man was shot Wednesday during a road rage incident on Interstate 85. The victim was driving near Jimmy Carter Boulevard on I-85 North when he noticed an older black or dark green Chevy sport utility vehicle tailgating him, according to police reports. The victim hit his brakes to make the Chevy back off. The Chevy driver instead pulled around the victim's vehicle and in front of it, then slammed on its brakes. Both motorists began exchanging obscene gestures. The Chevy pulled back alongside the victim's vehicle and someone inside it fired a gunshot, striking the victim in the arm. The Chevy then drove away. The victim was unable to read the license plate number. Grocery store robbed LILBURN - The Ingles grocery store at 650 Rockbridge Road was robbed Wednesday by an unidentified white male. The suspect approached a service counter about 3:40 p.m. and told an employee "I have a gun and there are two other people in the store with guns," according to a police report. The suspect told the employee to put money into a bag and no one would get hurt. The robber fled on foot south on Rockbridge Road. He was described as a white male, 5 feet 9 inches tall and 190 pounds, wearing a black and white striped shirt, tan pants and a dark-colored baseball cap. The man was wearing glasses and had not shaved in several days, an employee told police. - From staff reportsMore like this story
