Brown - Hewitt

Mr. and Mrs. James Wilson Brown of Conway, S.C. announce the engagement of their daughter, Emma Catherine Brown, to Blake Alexander Hewitt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Holmes Hewitt of Lilburn.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Thompson of Conway, S.C. and Mr. and Mrs. William H. J. Brown of Aynor, S.C. She earned a bachelor's degree in sports and entertainment management from the University of South Carolina and is employed as a tennis teaching professional at Topspin Racquet & Swim Club in Columbia, S.C.

The future groom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. John B. Hewitt of Barnsville and the late Mr. and Mrs. William J. Webster of Barnsville. He earned a bachelor's degree in engineering in civil and environmental engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He also graduated from the University of South Carolina Law School where he received his juris doctor Cum Laude and is employed as a law clerk to the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of South Carolina in Columbia, S.C.

The wedding is planned for Dec. 10 at First United Methodist Church of Conway, S.C. Lunsford - Peterson

Carl and Pam Lunsford of Climax announce the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer Marie Lunsford, to Robert Raymond Peterson, son of Howard and Sandy Peterson of Lilburn.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of James and Pansy Lott and T.R. and Anne Lunsford, all of Albany. She is a 1999 graduate of Parkview High School and a 2003 graduate of North Georgia College and State University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in education. She is employed as a special education teacher and cheerleading coach at Parkview High School.

The future groom is the grandson of Robert and Charmaine Fraser of Lilburn and Katherine Peterson of Grand Rapids, Mich. He is a 2000 graduate of Parkview High School and a 2004 graduate of the University of Georgia, where he received a bachelor's degree in psychology. He is employed in computer networking and is also a lay coach for soccer at Centennial High School in Roswell.

The wedding is planned for April 1 at Mountain Park First Baptist Church in Stone Mountain.

Pittman - Thompson

Judy D. Pittman of Lawrenceville and Marc (Bud) Pittman of Highlands, N.C. announce the engagement of their daughter, Elizabeth Muriel Pittman, to Chad Anderson Myers Thompson, son of Jacqueline V. Thompson of Stockbridge, Robert Charles Thompson of McDonough and the late Mark Myers of Griffin.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late R.M. Davis of Thomaston, Bessie D. Davis of Thomaston, the late M.H. Pittman of Highlands, N.C. and Esther R. Pittman of Highlands, N.C. She is a 1998 graduate of Central Gwinnett High School and a 2002 graduate of the University of Georgia, where she received a bachelor's degree in journalism with a major in public relations. She is employed as a media relations manager at Oglethorpe University.

The future groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Bryant of Macon, the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert James Thompson of Atlanta, the late Bonton Myers of Griffin and Bonnell Myers of Griffin. He is a 1997 graduate of Stockbridge High School and a 2002 graduate of the University of Georgia, where he received a bachelor's in business administration majoring in management information systems. He is employed as a data specialist for Quality Care for Children in Atlanta.

The wedding is planned for March 18 in the University of Georgia Chapel.
