Maultsby - Jacobs
Jennifer Michelle Maultsby and Jefferey James Jacobs were married on June 10 in the Egyptian Ballroom of the Fox Theatre. The Rev. John Strange officiated the ceremony.
The bride is a graduate of the University of Georgia, where she received her bachelor's degree in journalism and her master's degree in business administration. She is employed by Coca Cola North America in Atlanta. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William M. Maultsby of Duluth and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles William Jordan of Duluth and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph L. Maultsby of Wilmington, N.C.
The groom is a graduate of Western Michigan University, where he received his bachelor's degree in industrial engineering. He received his master's degree in business administration from Wake Forest University, in Winston Salem, N.C. He is employed by Scott Madden of Atlanta. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Jacobs of Grosse Ile, Mich. and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Shelmier of Arizona and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Jacobs of Cleveland.
Jenny Strange of Decatur served as the bride's maid of honor and Kathleen Wise of Broken Arrow, Okla. served as the bride's matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Cristy Von Popering of Smyrna, Krista Ganley of Duluth, April Jordan of Snellville and Janel McNee of Southgate, Mich.
Eric Tiller of Kalamazoo, Mich. served as the groom's best man.
Groomsmen were father of the groom, James R. Jacobs of Grosse Ile, Mich. brother of the groom, James P. Jacobs of Hilton Head, S.C., William M. Maultsby of Duluth and Bob Akers of Charleston, W. Va.
The couple spent a honeymoon week in Costa Rica and now reside in the Virginia Highlands area of Atlanta.
Jones - Ayres
Katrina Jones, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Jones of Sharpsburg (formerly of Grayson), became the bride of Mark Ayres, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Ayres of Oklahoma City, Okla., at the Fayetteville Church of Christ on Oct. 7. Richard Harp of Tara Church of Christ in Jonesboro performed the Scottish Celtic Ceremony.
Sister of the bride Angela Mabe served as the bride's matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Melanie Wonderling, sister of the bride; Sandra Stark, aunt of the bride; Amy Jackson, cousin of the bride; and Julie Jones, sister of the groom. Flower girls were Lauren Jones, niece of the groom; Casey Jones cousin of the bride; and Laurel Mabe, niece of the bride.
Brother of the groom Brian Ayres served as the groom's best man.
Groomsmen were Bret Jones, brother-in-law of the groom; Mark Staton, friend of the bride; Mark Johnston, uncle of the groom; and Evan Ayres, nephew of the groom. The ring bearer, Landon Mabe, nephew of the bride, wore a Scottish kilt.
The groom said the Scottish wedding prayer and the bride and groom repeated their wedding vows in both English and Gaelic. After the Irish blessing, the audience enjoyed a reception in the church fellowship hall.
The couple will reside in Oklahoma City.
