Post appoints new publisher

J.K. Murphy has been named publisher of the Gwinnett Daily Post.

Murphy, 47, has been executive editor of the Post for seven years.

"J.K. has shepherded the newsroom through an incredible period of growth of the Post," said Tom Stultz, president of Gray Publishing, owners of the Post and four other newspapers. "I am looking forward to working with J.K. in his new position."

Murphy has 25 years of experience in the newspaper business. He joined the Post in 1998 after working 18 years at newspapers in Indiana.
