Man charged with aggravated assault
DACULA - An argument over a pressure washer erupted into violence Friday when a Dacula man accused another man of stealing the device.
The victim told police that Willie Clyde Wilburn, 29, came to his girlfriend's house on Teca Court and started threatening him and cursing at him. Wilburn reportedly punched the victim several times and then pulled out a knife.
Wilburn allegedly threatened to kill the victim, cut him on the hand and then started chasing him around the house, according to a police report. Wilburn was arrested on a charge of aggravated assault.
Masked men rob bank
NORCROSS - Two masked men ambushed employees Saturday and robbed the Wachovia bank at 3374 Holcomb Bridge Road.
Several employees were entering the bank through a side door at 8:30 a.m. when two men in black jumpsuits and ski masks ran up to them, pushed them inside and ordered them to get on the floor. All seven employees inside the bank were bound with plastic zip ties, according to a police report.
The suspects told the manager they had been in the bank before and knew the procedures. They demanded to be let into the vault, police reports stated. One of the suspects repeatedly pistol-whipped an employee who was attempting to open it.
The manager was told to stay in the vault with the employees and not to call police. The robbers fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Armed robber takes cash from store
SNELLVILLE - Someone robbed the Fast Mart convenience store Thursday at 3730 Centerville Highway.
The suspect entered the store at about 7:15 a.m. and made casual conversation with a clerk about buying batteries. The robber then walked behind the counter and pulled out a gun, demanding money, police reports stated. After receiving cash from the register, the man ordered the employee to get on the floor and he left.
The thief may have fled in a maroon Suburban, according to the report.
