Restaurant owner robbed near his home LAWRENCEVILLE - Someone ambushed a restaurant owner Sunday at his home on Avalon Walk Drive and stole a bag containing his cash and paperwork. The victim was getting out of his car at 11:45 p.m. when two men approached him, according to police reports. One suspect pointed a silver revolver at the victim's head and grabbed his bag. The victim held on, but he was dragged to the bottom of the driveway. The suspect then hit him with the revolver, causing a laceration, and pulled the bag from his grip. The two robbers fled in a red sedan, possibly an early 1990s model Honda Accord, police reports said. One of the suspects was a thin black man about 30 years old, between 6 feet 4 inches to 6 feet 6 inches tall. The other suspect was only described as a black man wearing dark clothing and a hooded sweatshirt. Man arrested in stabbing of his roommate LAWRENCEVILLE - A Duluth man was arrested Sunday after allegedly stabbing his roommate in the back at their apartment on Breckenridge Boulevard. Ernest Lamar Harper, 25, became involved in a dispute with his roommate, Spencer Foster, and stabbed Foster in the left upper back just after midnight, according to an arrest warrant. Foster was hospitalized with a collapsed lung. Harper is charged with aggravated assault and given a $25,000 bond. If released, Harper must refrain from any violent contact with Foster as a condition of his bond. - From staff reports
