BUFORD - A 32-year-old Buford man was killed in a single-vehicle accident Friday.
The man, who was identified only by his last name of Patel, was driving north on Interstate 985 when his 2005 BMW ran off the road and collided with trees, Gwinnett police spokesman Darren Moloney said. Police are investigating the fatality, which took place about 8:50 p.m. Moloney said the preliminary investigation indicates that alcohol was involved in the incident. The man was also speeding during wet road conditions and was not wearing a seat belt, he said.More like this story
