32nd Lilburn Daze festival held today

LILBURN - Fair-goers can expect to see everything from funnel cakes to crafts to Gladiators at today's Lilburn Daze Festival.

The 32nd annual Lilburn Daze Festival will boast more than 250 arts and crafts booths, a children's area with rock climbing, pony rides, train rides and a moonwalk, food and entertainment. There also will be free health screenings, including flu shots, and booths sponsored by the Lilburn Business Association with local officials and political candidates on hand.

The Lilburn Women's Club and the city of Lilburn are sponsoring this year's event.

Lilburn Daze also has become one of metro Atlanta's best festivals for antique finds, according to a spokesperson for the Gwinnett Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Also included in this year's exhibitors are the Gwinnett Gladiators. Representatives from the Gladiators' front office will be at the festival with information on the upcoming 2005-2006 season.
