J.D. Johnson, age 84 of Lawrenceville, GA passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2005. J.D. was the former owner of City Garage of Lawrenceville, a volunteer Firefighter for the City of Lawrenceville and served in the U.S. Army in WWII. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Annie Mae Mauldin Johnson; daughter: Brenda & her husband, Walt Herring of Lawrenceville; granddaughters: Vickie Pittman, Tammy Forde, and Faye Higgins; great grandchildren: Shane Pittman, Lance Forde, Savannah Holbrook, Jessica Pittman, Loren Forde and Leanna Pittman; brother-in-law: Claude Mauldin of Lawrenceville; sister-in-law: Delphia (Dutch) Johnson of Lawrenceville; nieces: Judy McGaughey, Pat Mabry, Gail Martin, JoAnna Reese; nephews: Robin Mauldin, Joey Mauldin, Johnny Glass, Freddie Mauldin; many other nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 8th, at 2:00 p.m. at Wages & Sons Gwinnett Chapel with Rev. David Bailey officiating. The burial will be at Gwinnett Memorial Park in Lawrenceville. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 7th from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Wages & Sons Gwinnett Chapel, 1031 Lawrenceville, Highway, Lawrenceville, 770-277-4550.
