Man takes cash, beer from store
NORCROSS - A man held up the Citgo gas station at 5910 Jimmy Carter Blvd. on Saturday, stealing a 12-pack of beer and an undisclosed amount of cash.
The robber entered the store to purchase beer earlier that afternoon, but the clerk turned him away because he didn't have any identification. The suspect returned again at 9:25 p.m., grabbed a 12-pack of beer from the refrigerator and sat it on the counter, according to a police report.
When asked again for his ID, the man rifled through his pockets and then brandished a handgun and demanded money. He fled with the beer and an undisclosed amount of cash.
