LAWRENCEVILLE - Dr. Daniel J. Kaufman will make his first public appearance as president of the new state college in Gwinnett at a welcome reception at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Dr. Kaufman, a retired brigadier general from West Point, began his official role as president Sept. 19 and has been managing the process of building the new state college, which promises to leverage technology to deliver quality education. Hosted by the Georgia Board of Regents, the event is open to the public and will be held in the "B" Building Atrium at the Gwinnett University Center, 1000 University Center Lane in Lawrenceville. The campus is located near the intersection of Ga. Highway 316 and Collins Hill Road.More like this story
