DULUTH - A man was shot in the arm early Saturday in an apparent road rage incident.
The man, whose name was not released, was driving north on Interstate 85 near Pleasant Hill Road around 1:54 a.m. when he was fired at several times, Gwinnett County Police Cpl. Valerie Southard said.
Southard said the incident appeared to be related to road rage, but did not elaborate on the circumstances. Detective Ed Ritter, a spokesman for the police department, also said he did not know particulars about the incident. He said there was at least one passenger in the a silver Mitsubishi Montero the man was driving but did not know if it was a child or adult.
The man was transported to the Gwinnett Medical Center, Southard said. The suspect vehicle is a white SUV and may be a Ford Explorer or Expedition, she said.
Police do not have a description of the occupants of the SUV, Southard said. The investigation is ongoing.
