NORCROSS - They have the same smiles, the same eyes and share the same birthday. But 10-year-old twins David and Elizabeth Paulsson also have something else in common: they're both excellent spellers.
David and Elizabeth won first and second place, respectively, in Rockbridge Elementary School's spelling bee on Tuesday. They competed against 26 other students in the event. Once the competition was down to only the twins, Elizabeth got a challenging word: "silhouette." She misspelled it, but her brother David got it right. He won the spelling bee after correctly spelling "tremendous." The next step for the twins is the school board district spelling bee at Meadowcreek High School. The top five spellers at that event will move on to the countywide spelling bee.More like this story
