NORCROSS - Firefighters closed two southbound lanes of Interstate 85 for a few hours Saturday afternoon because of thick smoke and debris caused by a brush fire that was fueled by windy conditions.
No injuries or exposures occurred as the fire burned almost 2 acres of brush along the interstate, said Thomas Rutledge, spokesman for the Gwinnett County Fire Department. Firefighters had the blaze under control at 2:45 p.m.More like this story
