NORCROSS - Rock-Tenn Co., which makes cardboard packaging and display signs, posted a smaller profit in its fiscal fourth quarter, the company said on Tuesday.
Earnings fell to $4.9 million, or 14 cents per share. Analysts had expected 27 cents per share.
Rock-Tenn posted a $6.6 million profit, or 18 cents per share, in the July to September period a year ago.
Rock-Tenn, headquartered at 504 Thrasher Street in Norcross, has nearly 8,270 employees.
