Men rob QuikTrip

•LAWRENCEVILLE - Two unidentified white men on Friday robbed the QuikTrip at 3747 Lawrenceville Highway.

The men came into the store at about 2:30 a.m., pulled out a gun and handed the clerk a plastic bag to put the cash in, according to a police report. One of the robbers held up the clerk while the other went to the refrigerator and stole a 12-pack of beer, then demanded cartons of cigarettes from behind the counter.

The suspects left on foot. One was described as a clean-shaven white man, approximately 18 to 21 years old, 5 feet 9 inches tall and 125 to 145 pounds wearing a black sweatshirt and jeans. The second suspect was a white man, 18 to 21 years old wearing a black hat, black jacket and blue bandanna, the report said.

at knifepoint

•DULUTH - A Duluth woman was forced into her apartment and robbed at knifepoint Friday at Gwinnett Crossings apartments.

The suspect confronted the victim as she was leaving to take out the garbage and pushed her back inside. In the kitchen, the intruder grabbed a butcher's knife and demanded money. The woman had no money, but the suspect stole her debit card.

He said he was thirsty, so the victim poured him a glass of milk, according to a police report. He then asked for her car keys and fled in her 1999 black Mercury Mountaineer.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic man, 160 pounds and 5 feet 8 inches tall with bad skin and scarring on his face.

Man robs Dacula grocery store

•DACULA - An unidentified white man on Saturday robbed the Ingles grocery store at 1221 Dacula Road.

The suspect came into the store at 1:40 a.m. and requested change for a dollar bill. When the clerk opened the register, the thief grabbed his hand and said "I have a gun, don't be stupid," according to a police report. He then took the money from the store and ran into the woods behind the store.

A resident on Evergreen Eve Crossing, a neighborhood located behind the grocery store, reported seeing a man who matched the robber's description park a Chevrolet pickup truck on the roadside. The resident witnessed the man leave for a few minutes, return, change into a different shirt and then drive away.

The suspect is described as 5 feet 10 inches tall, 140 pounds and wearing a green jacket.
