Allen - Tedder

Thomas and Kathryn Allen of Clyo announce the engagement of their daughter, Kacy Kathryn Allen, to Joshua William Tedder, son of Dorothy Tedder of Lawrenceville and Wayne and Lea Tedder of Lawrenceville.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of George and Jaunita Allen of Clyo, Barbara Poppell of Savannah and the late T.H. Faulk of Rincon. She is a graduate of the University of Georgia, where she received her bachelor's degree in English education. She plans to complete her master's degree from the University of Georgia in spring 2006 in instructional technology. She is employed as a media specialist at Effingham County Middle School.

The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Howard M. and Mary M. Mitchell of Jackson, Mich., and the late William O. and Helen Tedder of Bethlehem. He is a graduate of the University of Georgia, where he received a bachelor's degree in business. He works as a project manager for media recovery in Alpharetta.

The wedding is planned for Dec. 17 at Jerusalem Lutheran Church in Rincon.

Brown - Mendoza

Joseph and Debbie Brown of Cedartown announce the engagement of their daughter, Jessica Jo Brown, to Joshua Benjamin Mendoza, son of Gregory and Hortencia Mendoza of Lilburn.

The bride-elect is a 2005 graduate of the University of West Georgia, where she received a bachelor's degree in sociology. She is employed with the Polk County School District. She is the granddaughter of Betty Brown and the late Calvin Brown Sr., Jerry Lusk and the late Cecil Lusk, all of Cedartown.

The future groom is the grandson of the late Jesse Franklin Haralson and the late Florence Haralson of Avondale Estates. He plans to graduate from the University of West Georgia in December with a bachelor's degree in management.

The wedding is planned for March 4 at First United Methodist Church of Cedartown.

Armstrong - Horsley

James L. and Mary Alice Armstrong of Lawrenceville announce the engagement of their daughter, Anna Elizabeth Armstrong, to Adam Dean Horsley, son of Dean Horsley of Pinson, Ala., and Jolene Broom of Snead, Ala.

The bride-elect is a senior at Jacksonville State University, where she will graduate in December with a bachelor's degree in physical education and health. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elmo Harrell of Newnan and the Rev. and Mrs. James E. Armstrong of Thomasville.

The future groom is a 2004 graduate of Jacksonville State University and is studying for the ministry at New Orleans Baptist Seminary. He is the grandson of Geneva Horsley and the late Homer Horsley of Oneonta, Ala., Ned and Jerri Kemp of Moody, Ala., and Vera Morton of Susan Moore, Ala.

The wedding is planned for Jan. 7 at First Baptist Church in Newnan.
