Man charged with peeping

•DULUTH - A Duluth man was caught peering into a couple's bedroom at the Falls Apartment on The Falls Parkway, according to a police report.

A 26-year-old man and his wife, 27, were in their bedroom when Isais Martinez-Reyes began looking in the window and tapping on it intermittently from 12:30 a.m. to 2 a.m., according to the report. An officer who arrived to investigate found Martinez-Reyes standing at the corner of the apartment building. The man tried to flee on foot but stopped and surrendered after a short pursuit.

The officer noted the smell of alcohol on Martinez-Reyes' breath and saw that his zipper was down, exposing his penis. Martinez-Reyes admitted he didn't live in the complex.

He was charged with peeping Tom, obstruction and disorderly conduct.

Resident robbed at knifepoint

•NORCROSS - Someone forced his way inside a residence at Silverleaf Apartments on Treehouse Parkway Monday and robbed a resident at knifepoint.

The victim told police he answered a knock at the front door at about 2 p.m. A white man wearing a white T-shirt and jeans asked if "Philippe" was home, and the resident replied "no," according to a police report. The suspect then pulled out a knife wrapped in a towel from behind his back and held it to the victim's stomach.

The intruder pushed the victim inside and demanded jewelry. The suspect ordered the victim into an upstairs bedroom closet as he ransacked the apartment. The suspect warned the resident if he came out, he would kill him.

A jewelry box containing approximately $5,000 worth of jewelry was the only item reported stolen.
