CRONIC, BYRON TUBBY Mr. Byron Tubby Cronic, age 68, of Buford, Georgia passed away on November 5th, 2005. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Cora Bell Cronic. Surviving are: Wife of 46 years, Mrs. Lois Pugh Cronic, Buford, Georgia; son: Dr. Randy Cronic and wife Anna Cronic, Duluth, Georgia; granddaughters: Nicole and Briana Cronic, Duluth, Georgia; brother and sister-in-law: William J. and Shelvia Cronic, Flowery Branch, Georgia; sisters-in-law: Dorothy Olivet, Buford, Georgia, Kathleen and Winston Burel, Buford, Georgia, Jane Pugh, Buford, Georgia, Betty Pugh, Dayton, Ohio; brother-in-law: Troyce and Mattie Pugh, Buford, Georgia; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Cronic was born in Hall County, Georgia and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a retired warehouse man from Ingersoll Rand Company and Thomco Speciality Products. He attended Gainesville High School. He served several terms on the Sugar Hill City Council during that time he secured the property for E. E. Robinson Park. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Sugar Hill since 1966. He coached Little League Baseball for many years and was an avid golfer. His favorite times were spent with his family and friends at New Smyrna Beach. His hobbies were his family, friends and his church. Funeral service will be held on Monday, November 7th, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at the First Baptist Church in Sugar Hill, Georgia with Rev. Richard Mark Lee and Rev. Charles Pirkle officiating. Interment in Memorial Park Cemetery, Gainesville, Georgia. The Senior Adult Sunday School Class of the First Baptist Church in Sugar Hill will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00-9:00 P.M. ROBERT GARMAN Dr. Robert Garman McKeever, Jr. of Connecticut, died October 31st, 2005. He is survived by: Wife: Linda Collum McKeever; Son: Robert G. McKeever, III, Knoxville; Daughter: Bethany McKeever, Southington, Ct.; Sisters: Vicki Shaw, Marjorie Lea; Half Sister: Joni Farr; Half Brothers: Michael McKeever, Richard Friedman; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was Director of New England School of the Bible in Southington and Representative of BIMI in Chattanooga. Grave side services will be held at 11 A.M. Monday, November 7th, 2005 at the Ewing Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery, Dacula. Dr. John Bailes will officiate. DONALD EUGENE Donald Eugene "Don" Martin, Sr., age 85, of Lawrenceville, Georgia, died November 5th, 2005 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Atlanta. Don was a unique individual with a wonderful sense of humor who helped touch many lives in spite of being a very private person. He dearly loved his family and friends, but especially his late wife who was affectionately known as "Charlie." She preceded him in death in April of 2005 and had been deeply missed by him after being married for over 65 years. Mr. Martin was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lawrenceville and served in the 86th Infantry Division in Europe during World War II. He received the Jaycees "Great American Award" in 1979 for his diligent work with the City of Lawrenceville as general superintendent, and because of his vast knowledge of the workings of the City from which he recently retired after 40 years of service. Don had many hobbies and interests through the years which included golfing, fishing, boating, horseback riding, motor cycling, bird watching and most of all flying. He spent many wonderful hours flying his Cessna 172 around the area and to different parts of the U.S. His ancestors have lived in Lawrenceville for at least three generations, and he was proud of his hometown where he was born February 21, 1920. He was preceded in death by his parents Peter Kuhl Martin, Sr. and Bonnie Inez Baugh Martin, his sister Kathryn Kuhl Martin, and his brother Peter Kuhl "Boots" Martin. Mr. Martin is survived by his sister Clara Cornelia Martin Hood of Dacula, his two children to whom he was a wonderful father - Donald E. Martin, Jr. and his wife Brenda of Dacula, and Linda Martin Taylor and her husband Michael Dow Taylor, Sr. of Jackson, MS. And his adored six grandchildren and four great grandchildren, Stacy Martin Gusek and Craig of Lawrenceville, Kathryn Ruth Martin Pierce and Curt of Braselton, Donna Meghan Martin of Dacula, Melissa Taylor Solberg and Erik of Jackson MS, Michael Dow Taylor, Jr. of Raleigh, NC, and Tatum Taylor Fichthorn and John of Darren, CT. Great grandchildren, Avery Madison and Ashley Morgan Pierce of Braselton, and Taylor Reese Fichthorn of Darren, CT, and Hoyt Martin Solberg of Jackson, MS. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 7th, 2005, 11 A.M. at Wages Lawrenceville Chapel with Dr. Lamar Holley officiating. Interment Gwinnett Memorial Park. LILBURN McDANIEL, JAMES LEWIS James McDaniel, 53, of Lilburn died on November 2, 2005. He was born on December 6, 1951 in Fulton Co. to the late James Wilbur McDaniel and Verdie Mae Adcock McDaniel. Surviving are wife: Sybil McDaniel of Lilburn; daughters: Amanda Diane McDaniel of Lilburn and April Dawn McDaniel of Monroe; son: James Charles McDaniel of Pass Christian, MS; mother: Verdie Mae McDaniel of Monroe; sisters: Virginia Fuller of Jackson, Lorene Brooks of Loganville, Brenda Volyes of Lawrenceville, Sherry Pulver of Monroe, and Deborah Montgomery of Conyers; brothers: David McDaniel of Loganville and Brince McDaniel of St. Mountain; grandchildren: Preston Peavy, Dakota Thompson, Ashleigh Peavy, and Ansley McDaniel; 13 nieces; 11 nephews; 12 great nieces; 15 great nephews; and 1 great great nephew.
