Robbers hi Pappadeux

NORCROSS - The Pappadeaux restaurant at 5635 Jimmy Carter Blvd. was robbed Thursday by two men who ambushed the manager and another employee in the parking lot.

Two unidentified black men sprung out from behind the bushes dressed in all black clothing and black ski masks at about 1 a.m. as the manager and an employee were walking out of the restaurant. The robbers pointed handguns at the employees and forced them back inside, according to a police report. They stole the employees' personal belongings and the contents of a safe in the manager's office.

Before leaving, the suspects ripped out the phone lines in the office and locked the victims inside.

Folks robbed

NORCROSS - Three unidentified men on Wednesday held up employees at the Folks restaurant at 7075 Jimmy Carter Blvd.

The suspects emerged from behind a dumpster at about 10 p.m. and confronted a waiter and another employee standing next to a vehicle, according to a police report. One of the robbers struck the waiter over the head with a handgun, causing a deep cut.

A third suspect then appeared and went into the employee's car to steal his wallet. The trio looted the safe in the manager's office. While forcing employees into the office, one of the robbers also pistol-whipped another employee in the eye.

They tore the phone from the wall and inquired about whether the video cameras worked. The suspects were described as wearing all black clothing and shoes. One man was reportedly about 6 feet tall and 160 pounds, another was 6 feet 3 inches tall and 180 pounds and the third man was about 5 feet 10 inches tall with no weight description given.
