Russell E. Cutler, Jr., 80, of Atlanta passed away Thursday, May 19, 2005. He was a beloved husband, father, stepfather, grandfather of 16, great grandfather of 10, brother and friend to all. He was reunited with his loving wife Kathleen on the day of their 30th wedding anniversary. He will always be loved and missed by his children: Russell E. Cutler, III (Joan), Debbie Ballew (Eddie), Dale Cutler (Jill), and Dana Ryan; step-children: Vickie Whatley (Lynn), Jay Bumpus (Evelyn), Steve Bumpus, Cindy Lukaart (Mitch); brother: Ronald Cutler (Bea); sisters: Mary Smith (Hank), Betty Ramsey and Kathy Cutler. Russ was a man who lived every day to its fullest and loved with all of his heart. Born on February 19, 1925, he was the son of Russell E. Cutler, Sr and Dorothy Knox Cutler of Muskegon, MI. He served our country in the U.S. Navy during WWII. As a graduate of Wayne State University, Russ had a successful career in the food industry. His career moved him to Atlanta in 1957 and to San Francisco in 1969. He returned to Atlanta in 1974, where he met and married Katie. He retired from Welch Food's in 1989. He and Katie traveled the world together sharing life's adventures. He was a volunteer with Mended Hearts and the American Red Cross. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to: American Red Cross, Disaster Action Team, 1955 Monroe Drive, Atlanta, GA 30324. A Celebration of Life will be held in July 2005.
