ROME - A fire that damaged a Rome business Friday was likely the work of an arsonist, investigators said.
The afternoon blaze at Tractor Supply Co. started in a corner of the store filled with oil and additives. No one was hurt, but some merchandise was damaged. Fire Marshal Vann Baxter said no accidental cause could be found for the fire. "It looks suspicious," he said, adding that a fire accelerator probably was used. Authorities put up a $10,000 reward for information about the fire.More like this story
