NORCROSS - A Norcross business' hopper caught fire Wednesday afternoon.
At 2:41 p.m., a signal from an alarm company alerted the Gwinnett County Fire Department to a fire at Rock-Tenn Company at 4444 South Old Peachtree Road, said Thomas Rutledge, spokesman for GCFD. GCFD upgraded the call to a business fire, Rutledge said. Upon arrival, firefighters did not see a fire, but business employees said the fire was in a hopper, or receptacle. The fire originated and was contained to the hopper. The fire was out by 2:56 p.m. No injuries were reported, Rutledge said.More like this story
