Motorist takes a shot at driver in Lilburn
LILBURN - An unidentified motorist shot at a Lilburn man Monday during a road rage incident that began on Hewatt Road.
The victim told police a red Jeep Wrangler began tailgating him and then illegally passed him on the left, crossing a double yellow line. As the Jeep passed, the victim admitted he flipped the other driver off and began following the Jeep onto Pale Oak Terrace.
The Jeep made a U-turn in the cul-de-sac of the residential street. The suspect then aimed a gun at the victim and fired three shots before speeding away. The victim was not injured.
Masked man robs Norcross Waffle House
NORCROSS - A masked man wielding a handgun Tuesday robbed the Waffle House at 3235 Peachtree Corners Circle.
The suspect, who wore a black ski mask, entered the restaurant at 4:40 p.m., according to police reports. He pointed a gun at one of the employees and demanded money from the register.
The robber then left on foot heading toward nearby Kendall Creek Apartments.
Norcross man shot in the leg
NORCROSS - A 26-year-old Norcross man was shot in the leg Tuesday at Coppermill Apartments on Allen Circle.
Elgin Carlon Brown had gone to the complex to meet several other men. Brown got into a confrontation with one of them and was shot, said Detective B. Ray of the Gwinnett County Police Department. Brown was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
Ray said the motive was probably drug-related. There are no suspects, police said.
Man threatened by gun-wielding naked man
LAWRENCEVILLE - A day laborer was the victim of a bizarre case of indecent exposure on Tuesday when a nude man drove up to a building that he was working on.
The victim was working at a structure on Blackberry Trail at 9:30 a.m. when a white van with ladders secured to the roof stopped in an adjacent driveway. A skinny white man with short black hair and a goatee stepped out of the van, fully naked.
The suspect began fondling himself while staring at the victim, according to police reports. When the day laborer pulled out a cell phone to call police, the suspect reached into his vehicle to grab a gun. The suspect pointed the gun at the worker, then got back into his van and drove away.
