Mr. John “Big John” Blankenship, age 70, of Buford, GA passed away on March 28, 2005. He was preceded in death by his son, William Ray Blankenship. Surviving are: Former Wife: Dottie Blankenship Burney, Cumming, GA; Son and Daughter-in-Law: Dale and Sheila Blankenship, Braselton, GA; Three Grandchildren; Two Great Grandchildren; Sisters: Lois B. Stewart, Sugar Hill, GA; Barbara F. Ramey, Dawsonville, GA; Brother: Otis Kenneth Blankenship, Sugar Hill, GA; Nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Blankenship was a native of Buford, GA. He was a retired plumber and was of the Baptist Faith. Funeral service will be on Thursday, March 31, 2005 at 3:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Campbell officiating. Interment in Sugar Hill Cemetery, Sugar Hill, GA.
