James B. Shirley age 59 of Conyers, died Saturday, March 19, 2005. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 22nd at 2:30 p.m. at Ward's Rockdale Chapel with Father John Kieran and Bill Dorsey officiating. Interment will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Duluth. Native of Fulton County, GA., Mr. Shirley was a former member of Moreland Avenue Baptist Church, a sheet metal contractor and a BHW Sheet Metal Works Project Manager and served a 4 year sheet metal apprenticeship in Atlanta. He was a 1964 graduate of East Atlanta High School. Mr. Shirley was preceded in death by his father James B. Shirley, Sr. Survivors include wife, Pamela DiLeo Shirley, Conyers, GA; daughters and son in law: DeAnn Shirley and William Brower, Kwajalein, Marshall Islands; Kimberly Shirley and Geoff Greene, Columbus, GA; son: Bryan Marshall Bowden, Denver, CO; grandchildren: Eric Brower, Evan Brower, Rachael and Jacob Greene; parents: Velva T. Carr and stepfather Edward V. Carr, Grayson, GA; sisters and brothers in law: Janet Shirley and Windell Sexton, Snellville; Anne Carr and Jon Marc Jackson, Snellville; Vicky Carr Horton also of Snellville; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
