The event is held to raise money for the Northeast Georgia Council of the Boy Scouts of America and to hand out the Boy Scout distinguished citizen awards. This year's winners were John D. Stephens, Jones Webb and Virgil Williams. The keynote speaker was Ralph Reed. About 300 people attended the dinner which was chaired by David Seago of Georgia Power and Roger Willis of Jackson EMC.
