Atlanta Falcons fire head coach Mike Smith December 29, 2014

Mrs. Tyeophers “Tyea” Smallwood Dowdy, age 84, of Cleveland, GA passed away on March 11, 2005. Surviving are: Husband of 67 Years: Mr. Charlie W. Dowdy, Cleveland, GA; Sons and Daughters-in-Law: Harold and Pat Dowdy, Cleveland, GA, Jimmy and Linda Dowdy, Kennesaw, GA, Kenneth and Sandra Dowdy, Flowery Branch, GA; Seven Grandchildren: Deedee Stephens, Scott Dowdy, Chuck Dowdy, Jennifer Ettenger, Stephanie Blackledge, Russ Dowdy, and Kemberly Doster; Nine Great Grandchildren; Sisters: Mamie Dowdy, Flowery Branch, GA, Ethel Pierce, Gainesville, GA, Lillie Hughes, Oakwood, GA, Mary Sanders, Oakwood, GA; Several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Dowdy was a native of Hall County, GA. She was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Salem Baptist Church for over 70 years where she taught Sunday School for many years. She was a wonderful devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister to her family. Funeral service will be on Monday, March 14, 2005 at 3:30 p.m. at the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Selmon Gilleland, Rev. Kenny Stephens and Rev. Larry Peace officiating. Interment in Mt. Salem Baptist Church Cemetery.
