Vi Ora Eady Cantrell, age 93, of Duluth, GA died peacefully on March 11, 2005 at her home with many loved ones in attendance. Formerly of Gadsden, AL, she is preceded in death by her husband Milton B. Cantrell Sr. and daughter Merlene Alldredge of Duluth, GA. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Monday at Bill Head Funeral Home, Duluth Chapel with Rev. Frankie Tyson and Rev. Lamar Hansard officiating. Interment will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. She was an accomplished homemaker, cook, seamstress, gardener, and enjoyed quilting for family and friends. She also enjoyed family get-togethers with lots of good food and gospel music. She was a lifetime member of North Eleventh Street Baptist Church in Gadsden, AL. She is survived by: Daughters: Lorene Terry, Centerville, AL; Geneva Nix, Pinson, AL; Betty Mullins, Lawrenceville, GA; Joan Cantrell, Duluth, GA; Daughter and Son-in-law: Linda and W.L. Whisenant, Gadsden, AL; Sons and Daughters-in-law: Milton B. Jr. and Marilyn Cantrell, Duluth, GA; Ruble and Sara Cantrell, Buford, GA; Rodney and Dorothy Cantrell, Duluth, GA; 17 Grandchildren, Many Great Grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2 until 8 PM at Bill Head Funeral Homes and Crematory Duluth Chapel 770-476-2535.
