G-8 nations agree on key issues
LONDON - Two weeks before a Group of Eight summit in Scotland, the nations' foreign ministers agreed Thursday on a host of issues, including Israel's withdrawal from Gaza, Iran's nuclear program and human rights abuses in Zimbabwe.
The G-8 nations urged North Korea to resume dialogue on its nuclear program, called on Iran not to resume its uranium enrichment activities and condemned human rights abuses in Zimbabwe and Sudan.

Romanian monk, four nuns charged in exorcism death
BUCHAREST, Romania - A 23-year-old Orthodox nun - said to be possessed by devils because she shouted so much - was chained to a cross, gagged with a towel and left in a dank room at a convent for three days without food.
A monk and four nuns were arrested Thursday and have been charged with murder in the case. Maricica Irina Cornici died of suffocation and dehydration last week in the Holy Trinity convent.
U.S., Iraqi troops kill militants
BAGHDAD, Iraq - American and Iraqi troops battled al-Qaida-linked insurgents holed up in an upscale Baghdad neighborhood Thursday, killing at least five militants apparently waiting to carry out suicide bomb attacks.
Word emerged that a senior al-Qaida leader was killed in a U.S. airstrike near Syria's border. A string of car bombings continued Thursday morning with four more blasts that killed at least 15 people.
Rights groups call for action against Zimbabwe
JOHANNESBURG, South Africa -More than 200 rights groups showed a smuggled video Thursday of thousands of poor Zimbabweans living in the open in the winter cold after the government tore down their homes in what it describes as an urban renewal project.
The Zimbabwean government pledged Thursday to build new houses for those it has made homeless.
