Woman charged with prostitution
NORCROSS - A 29-year-old Lawrenceville woman was arrested at Suite One motel after allegedly offering to have sex with an undercover officer for money.
Melissa Kay Moore told the officer she "would take no less than $100" to have sex with him, according to a police report. She was naked at the time, the officer said.
Moore was working for an escort service. Upon arrest, police also found a small amount of marijuana in her purse. She was charged with prostitution and possession of marijuana.
Woman charged with fighting sister
SNELLVILLE - A Tucker woman allegedly cursed at her 3-year-old nephew and got into a hair-pulling fight with her sister Sunday at a house on Northbrook Road.
Dawnette A. Lounds-Culp, 37, went to her sister's house to pick up some belongings and noticed her nephew was wearing her roller blades. She got mad and told the toddler to take them off, but he refused, according to police reports.
Lounds-Culp then allegedly started yelling at her sister that she needed to control her kid. The two got into a physical fight and started pulling one another's hair.
Lounds-Culp was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct.
Gang of robbers shock Norcross man with Taser gun
NORCROSS - A 22-year-old
man was shocked with a Taser stun gun Sunday by a group of men who robbed him, according to police reports.
The victim was standing in his front yard on Riva Ridge Drive about 7:30 p.m. when a black Ford Explorer pulled up and five Hispanic males got out. The suspects began punching the resident, and one suspect stunned him with a Taser and stole his wallet.
A friend of the victim recognized one of the suspects as her cousin. She told police he was a gang member. The other suspects also were believed to be in a gang. The victim suffered a cut to his
