Carl L. Swink, 66, of Duluth, GA, died June 19, 2005. The funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 22nd, at Crowell Brothers Peachtree Chapel Funeral Home in Norcross. Interment will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Duluth. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 3:00-9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Swink was a Captain with the Dekalb County Fire Dept. and retired after 29 years of service. He was a Gwinnett County School Bus Manager for 14 years. He was a member of Winters Chapel Baptist Church and the North Dekalb Masonic Lodge #714 F & AM for 45 years. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Swink of Duluth, GA; son, Carl Lamar Swink, II, of Duluth, GA; three daughters, Nita Pipkins Schwaemmle and her husband, Mark, of Brookhaven, GA, Dottie S. Brooks of Hoschton, GA, and Beverly DeAnne Puckette and her husband, David, of Hoschton, GA; two brothers, Harry L. Swink of Marietta, Ga and Ralph Swink of Seminole, FL; 8 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
