Atlanta-based Philly Connection has opened a new restaurant in Park Village Shopping Center at 2570 Pleasant Hill Road in Duluth. The Park Village restaurant is part of the same shopping center anchored by Asian superstore Super H. The restaurant joins two other Philly Connection units in the Duluth area.
Mitsubishi Electric HVAC distribution and warehouse celebrated its grand opening Tuesday. The building forms the central distribution hub for the company, which sends the heating and air conditioning units from the new Suwanee warehouse to points in all 50 states. On hand were William Rau, senior vice president and general manager; John Gabilondo, director of operations and logistics; and Suwanee Mayor Nick Masino. They were cutting the ribbon to open the doors to the new facility at 3400 Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road in Suwanee.
Sage Software held its groundbreaking ceremony Monday. Sage is building its new Atlanta Campus at North Brown Road in Lawrenceville. The company has signed a 10 -year lease on the 18 acre campus, which will have two buildings totaling 160,000 square feet. Attending were Jim Moran, president of the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce; Rachel Blankenship, director of facilities, Sage Software; Doug Meyer, president and CEO, Sage Software Small Business; Tom Flanigan, of M.D. Hodges; Michael Pelt, of MDH Developers; Teri McEvily, Sr. vice president and CFO, Sage Software Small Business; Chris Stanley of M.D. Hodges; and Connie Certusi, senior vice president and GM, Sage Software Small Business.
Honors and achievements
Ronnita Timmons shared her success story last week with Gwinnett community and business leaders, along with the staff of the Impact Group, a nonprofit developer of affordable homes. The Impact Group also gives homeowners the chance to build wealth and strengthen their communities. Timmons graduated from the group's Transitional Housing Program. She was speaking at a reception to honor the work of Gwinnett business people, affordable housing advocates and other individuals in support of the Impact Group.
