LAWRENCEVILLE - Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday for the Gigantour, featuring Megadeth and Dream Theater, at the Arena at Gwinnett Center on Aug. 5.
The Gigantour, a new multi-band rock festival comparable to Ozzfest, is the project of Megadeth's frontman and guitarist Dave Mustaine. Mustaine tapped metal bands including Nevermore, Fear Factory, Life of Agony, Dry Kill Logic, Bobaflex, The Dillinger Escape Plan and Symphony X to join the roster. The show will start at 4:30 p.m. and will feature two stages for the nine bands. The North American tour is currently scheduled to make 32 stops between the east and west coasts, including two shows in Canada. Mustaine has said he wanted to "put together a festival that consisted of positive bands that play heavy music in a high energy environment," according to a recent press release. Tickets for the show will be available at Ticketmaster locations or at www.ticketmaster.com . For more information on Gigantour, visit www.gigantour.com .More like this story
