Buford tailback/defensive back Matt Pridemore verbally committed to accept a football scholarship from Duke University.
He informed the Duke coaches, which includes head coach Ted Roof of Lawrenceville, on Thursday. Pridemore was a starting defensive back for the Wolves in 2004, though he missed some games due to shoulder surgery. The 6-foot, 185-pounder has excellent speed and placed in three events at the 2004 state track meet. Pridemore was third in the 200-meter dash, fifth in the 400 and fifth in the 1,600 relay. He is the son of Tom and Leigh Pridemore. Tom played for the Atlanta Falcons for eight years.More like this story
