Mr. Thomas “Tom” Davis, age 79, of Buford, Georgia passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2005. He is preceded in death by his son, Mr. Thomas H. Davis, Jr. He is survived by his: Daughters: Ginger Reese, Thompson, GA, Darlene Davis, Buford, GA; 5 Grandchildren: Christy Lott, Wesley Mitchell, Thomas Davis-Cox, Jennifer Davis, Shannon Thurmond; 3 Great-Grandchildren; Sister: Helen Shattles, Perkinson, MS; Brother: Howard Davis, Ocean Springs, MS; Several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mr. Davis was a native of Ocean Springs, Mississippi. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force after 26 years of service and was also retired from Gwinnett Board of Education as a welding instructor. He was a member of the Buford American Legion Post No. 127 and was of the Baptist Faith. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 26, 2005, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Chaplain Chuck Christie officiating.
