Liberal campaign to smear Roberts begins
Now that President Bush has picked John Roberts as his choice to replace Sandra Day O'Connor on the U.S. Supreme Court, we can all sit back and watch the liberal Democrats throw their temper tantrums. It's getting to be rather predictable, isn't it? I even heard that some liberal organizations had even gone so far as to prepare dossiers condemning a number of candidates and were just waiting to hear who the president chose before launching their publicity smear campaign. This morning when my alarm went off, I heard the local radio news guy reporting this story and of course he had to start with, "John Roberts, who is only 50 years old, has been chosen by ... blah blah blah." As if 50 years old is a negative. I'm glad I've made it to 50. But you see, the media is starting to pick up the chant also. What has become obvious to me, as it has to most people of common sense by now, is that it wouldn't matter who the president chose as his nomination. The liberals in Washington are going to obstruct anything the president tries to do, and that will be their undoing. - John Reed LawrencevilleMore like this story
