Retired Master Sergeant Millard Holman, age 80, of Canon, GA and formerly of Buford, GA passed away on July 14, 2005. He was preceded in death by Son, John Holman; Parents, Spencer and Viola Holman; Sister, Lemon Roebuck; and Brothers, Lonnie Holman, Ralph Holman, Claud Holman, Edgar Holman and Chestley Holman, Sr. Surviving are: Wife of 62 years: Mrs. Iona Cloer Holman, Canon, GA; Daughters and Son-in-Law: Millie Holman, Canon, GA, Mary and Scott Kiener, Buford, GA; Son and Daughter-in-Law: Sam and Patti Holman, Dacula, GA; Grandchildren: Weston Holman, Suzanne Kiener and Felicia Kiener; Sisters and Brother-in-Law: Mrs. Viola (Sis) and Jasper Cleghorn, Dacula, GA, Mrs. Tiny McCurdy, Dalton, GA; Brother: Mr. Clyde Holman, Dacula, GA; Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. Mr. Holman was a native of Gwinnett County, GA. He was retired as a Master Sergeant from the U.S. Army after 22 years of service. He was also a retired correctional officer from Gwinnett County Prison System. He was a member and deacon of Antioch Baptist Church. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 17, 2005 at 4:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Sam Holman officiating. Interment in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery, Buford, GA, with full military honors.
